With a fashion background, started my millinery journey as an apprentice in Jaycow Millinery, a renowned bespoke milliner who was once based in Hong Kong. Followed my years in Hong Kong, I returned London to purpose my millinery dream and trained professionally at Kensington and Chelsea College after my apprenticeship with Jaycow. Soon after graduated, I was headhunted to Stephen Jones Millinery while I also been offered from Jane Taylor millinery and Edwina Ibbotson Millinery. After nearly two years of time with Stephen Jones Millinery, I returned to my hometown and established my brand, atelier Phyl.
Atelier Phyl launched in 2019, the idea of Atelier Phyl began in 2014 when I came across a lady during her travels wearing a uniquely crafted headpiece made using a scarf. From that moment, the concept of creating innovative illusions through exquisite headpieces fuelled my passions of millinery.
Through numerous projects and collaborations with leading figures in the industry, I developed my couture label, embracing specialised techniques that stay true to the brand’s core, identity and purpose; craftsmanship in classic millinery.
